1. Who we are

BIMe is operated by Connor Ferguson as an individual, based in the United Kingdom. We operate the website at www.bim-e.com.

For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Connor Ferguson is the data controller for personal data collected through this Site.

2. What data we collect

We only collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us. At present, the only way we collect personal data is through our manufacturer submission form, which asks for:

• Your name
• Your company name
• Your email address
• URLs to your BIM content
• Product categories you cover

We do not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools that collect personal data. We do not collect data from general visitors who browse the Site without submitting a form.

3. How we use your data

If you submit information via our manufacturer submission form, we use it solely to:

• Review your submission and assess whether to include your BIM content in our search index
• Contact you by email to follow up on your submission

We will not use your data for marketing purposes, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside of BIMe without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

4. Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases for processing your personal data:

• Legitimate interests — processing form submissions to review and respond to manufacturer enquiries
• Consent — by submitting the form, you consent to us contacting you in relation to your submission

5. How we store your data

Form submissions are received via Formspree, a third-party form handling service. Formspree forwards submission data to our email address and may temporarily store it on their servers. You can review Formspree's privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not operate our own database of personal data at this time. Any personal data received by email is stored securely within our email account and is accessible only to Connor Ferguson.

We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to process your submission and any follow-up correspondence, and no longer than 2 years.

6. Third-party services

This Site is hosted by Netlify. Netlify may process standard server log data (such as IP addresses and browser types) as part of hosting the Site. Please refer to Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.

Search functionality on BIMe is powered by Algolia. When you perform a search, your query may be processed by Algolia's servers. Please refer to Algolia's Privacy Policy for details.

We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service at this time.

7. Your rights under UK GDPR

If we hold any personal data about you, you have the following rights:

9. Children's privacy

BIMe is a professional tool intended for use by adults in the construction and built environment sector. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16.
